A LITTLE PARTY NEVER KILLED NOBODY...

... and "that which does not kill us makes us stronger" by Friedrich Nietzsche (not Kelly Clarkson).

I had to write a short philosophy, statement and bio for the W+K Amsterdam website, about me. This is what I cooked up. Philosophy and statement above, bio below.

At one point I fell in LOVE with communication - all sorts of communication; advanced and traditional, verbal and non-verbal, pretty and ugly…
It started with books and TV, later I discovered games, I got acquainted with body language, then came the internet, next were mobile phones, social media slowly took over my life and then everything just seem to come together in advertising.

I love all sorts of communication, what does to you and what you can do with it.
Share a thought, make a suggestion, prove a point, fall in love, explain something, make someone laugh, unite people or separate them, make someone cry, give insights, teach something, help make choices, distract you, manipulate you… Same goes for advertising.

That is why I studied Communication & Advertising, and the one can’t do without the other.

Communication makes our lives easier and more difficult.
That is why I love it, and why I love being a PR Manager. I love to tell you about the stories we’re creating, about the place where those stories originate and the people that put their passion, blood, sweat and tears into it.
